Samuel Joseph Wilson of Takoma, MD died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born October 10, 1976 in Wheeling, the son of John and Thelma Williams Wilson of Wheeling.

Samuel served honorably in the U.S. Army for 12 years, and obtained the rank of Sergeant. While serving, he traveled abroad to Germany, Kosovo and Korea. He was a Combat Medic.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheeling.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marissa Wilson; three grandfathers, Orville Wilson, Melvin Heatherington, and Donald Hackathorn.

Surviving are his parents, his wife, Ashley M. Wilson; a brother, John Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Georgia, of Wheeling; two sisters, Janet Hicks and her husband, Timothy, of Cameron, WV, and Susan Ratcliffe and her husband, Donald, of Wheeling; two grandmothers, Edith Heatherington and Bertha Wilson; nieces and nephews, Caleb, Gabriel, Kailyn, Ally, Chloe and Ayla.
