MINNEAPOLIS, MN, USA U.S. Army SPC, TROOP A, 1ST SQUADRON, 4TH CAVALRY, 4 BCT, FORT RILEY, KANSAS BAGHDAD, IRAQ 05/06/2007

Strong, charismatic, and fun is how Rusty Rose-Dixon has described her husband, Specialist Robert Jonathan Dixon. He loved people, adventure, and was a great soldier.

“Bobby” was from Minneapolis, Minnesota and a member of the 1st Squadron, 4th Calvary Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division from Ft. Riley, Kansas. He had two young sons from a previous marriage, Logan and Michael.

Daniel and Eileen Dixon, Robert’s parents, have called him a natural leader.

He was 27 years old when his life was taken on May 6, 2007 when a bomb detonated near his vehicle in the southern part of Baghdad, Iraq.
