Henry was a 2003 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and was part of the varsity football and swim teams. The young soldier was dating his high school sweetheart, Jenn Alex.

Henry was a driven student who earned a place in the National Society of High School Scholars and Who’s Who Among American High School Students

Caring, thoughtful, humble, goal-oriented, and noble are just some of the words teachers and students used to describe Lorne. He was a quiet leader, and he always led by example. He always wanted to be a cop, always wanted to be helpful.

He visited his mother, Wendy Kovac, and stepfather, Charles Primerano, in Niagara Falls a few weeks before his death. He was planning to leave the Army in August.

Lorne Henry Jr. was awarded the Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.
