Henry joined the Army in 1990 and was born and raised in South Austin, Texas. He graduated from Johnston High School. Henry was married to Lilian Ybarra and had three children, Alyssa, Gabrielle, and Henry Ybarra IV.

I met Henry about twenty something years ago. At first Henry was your typical high school kid who wanted to always be with his friends and sometimes getting into situations he shouldn’t but one day he came home and told his mom he was going to boot camp and join the army. His mother did not take him serious about joining the army. But a surprise to all of us he did.

After joining the army Henry was a new person. He was full of life and had a smile that was priceless. He never complained about anything. We miss him so much. We wished we would have spent more time with him. To remember Henry is to always remember his great smile.

He really enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and relaxing with a few beers at the bar-b-ques with family. He also really enjoyed Nascar. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhart Sr. and Jr.
