LEWISTON, ME, USA U.S. Army SPC, C BATTERY 1ST BATTALION 41ST FIELD ARTILLERY, FORT STEWART, GEORGIA 31314 IRAQ 04/04/2003

Specialist Daniel Cunningham was from Lewiston, Maine.

Conor Cunningham has said that Daniel was “the best father a kid could ask for”. Heather Cunningham, Daniel’s wife, agrees, saying hewas a “loving father, good man, and nobel serviceman”.

Daniel’s mother remembers a disarming smile on a good natured man. His younger brother, Jimmy, always looked up to him. “C-Ham” as he has been called by his buddies was a friend and wise soldier. He spoke about someday opening a restaurant, and shared much about the son he loved. Many remember serving alongside him in Kosovo.

While serving with the 41st Field Artillery Regiment from Ft. Stewart, Georgia, a vehicle accident took the life of then 33 year old Daniel Francis Cunningham Jr. on April 4, 2003. The vehicle swerved to avoid mortars and fell into a ravine, killing three.

Daniel is remembered and missed.
