He was born on September 29, 1980 in New Kensington, PA a son of Anita McClain Hone of Weirton, WV. CJ enlisted in the US Army in 2001.


It’s like C.J. was just a big kid trapped in an adult’s body, always wanting to play. He was always up to something. Even in the worst situation, he always found a way to make us laugh. Close friends, who described the 26-year-old Pittsburgh native as a big, fun-loving, energetic young man with a special place in his heart for children, laughter and mischief.


He was Methodist by faith.


Surviving in addition to his mother are two Sons, Logan Jack Fair, Kole J. Swihart. Two Sisters, Alexandria Charm Manley and Christian Noel Manley. His Maternal Grandmother, Beatrice Meyers and husband David. His Paternal Grandmother, Shirley Kearns.


His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Combat Action Badge. He also received the Purple Heart for bravery during Operation Enduring Freedom.
