Brennan Chriss Gibson appears twice in his high school’s 1997 yearbook – in his senior photo and on a page headlined Sad Endings and New Beginnings. He loved being a soldier, and he was a good one, said Gibson’s Pastor Ken Brown. If there was a kid that you’d want representing us out there, it was Brennan Gibson.

Gibson attended Oregon State University in Corvallis, graduating in 2003 with a bachelor of science in art, with a special focus on graphic design. He was a member of Theta Chi fraternity.

Gibson spent much of his free time designing graphics and houses on his computer or sketching in one of a dozen sketchpads. He had a great sense of humor and a strong sense of doing his best in all his commitments. Brennan is the youngest of six children.

He was fun and he was kind, Brown said. He is survived by his wife, Corrina, and their newborn child, Kaden.

Gibson was described by Brown as one of those guys that whatever he does, he equips himself to do it well. He added: Gibson left for Iraq shortly after the birth of his son. He was looking forward to being a father.
